Conflict of Interest

Any personal, business, or financial relationship that may provide a current or future financial benefit to an employee, the employee's family, or individuals with whom the employee has financial ties may be considered a conflict of interest. Potential conflicts must be disclosed and may require review by the County Manager. County employees and vendors are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest.

Ethics

Clay County requires a high standard of ethical conduct from its officers, employees, vendors, and suppliers. County officials, employees, and agents are prohibited from accepting gifts or gratuities. Additional guidance can be found in Florida Statute 112 and the Clay County Purchasing Procedure Manual.

Public Records and Open Government

Clay County operates in accordance with Florida's Government-in-the-Sunshine Law and Public Records Law. These laws help ensure transparency and public access to government meetings and records.
