Retirement (FRS)

Employees of the Clay County Board of County Commissioners participate in the Florida Retirement System (FRS).  Employees contribute 3% of pre-tax income to the FRS, and the CCBCC also contributes an amount determined by Florida law on the employee’s behalf.

    Participants can choose between and Investment Plan and a Pension Plan and are vested after one year in the Investment Plan and after eight years in the Pension Plan.
