Office of Management & Budget
The mission of the Office of Management & Budget is to assist the county manager and county programs by providing timely, accurate, and relevant information and analysis for planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and the management of county services.
The Office of Management & Budget is responsible for the facilitation, coordination, preparation, and monitoring of the Board of County Commissioners budget. The office also coordinates the submission and review of the Constitutional Officers’ budgets as they relate to the Board of County Commissioners budget.
This division provides research and analysis of management practices throughout the county to help develop more efficient, innovative, and effective methods of using resources and personnel under the direction of the county manager.
Clerk of Court and Comptroller
The Clay County Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office is tasked with constitutional functions performed through its Comptroller Office.
As custodian of all county funds, and through the finance officer role, the Clerk serves as the chief financial officer for the county. The Clerk is responsible for keeping records and preparing required reports of all money received and disbursed by the Board of County Commissioners.
The Clerk also has responsibility for the collection, custody, disbursement, and investment of county funds.
