The County maintains 225 miles of dirt roads, but funding for paving is limited. 

To prioritize projects, roads are ranked using the following criteria.

  • Right of Way Width

  • Minimum Graded Width

  • Average Daily Traffic

  • Drainage Issues

  • Public School Bus Routes

  • Public Facilities / Service Request Frequency

  • Paving Difficulty

  • Construction Cost

  • Number of Driveways per Mile
