The mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to enhance the quality of life for Clay County residents by ensuring that properties comply with county codes and regulations. Property owners whose properties are not in compliance are required to correct violations.

The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing portions of the Clay County Code related to non-criminal matters, including public nuisances, zoning violations, solid waste disposal violations, junk vehicle ordinances, sign ordinances, and other Land Development Regulations.

The Code Enforcement Division does not regulate or enforce homeowner association (HOA) deed restrictions, covenants, or private neighborhood rules.
