Code Enforcement Division

The mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to enhance the quality of life for Clay County residents by helping ensure properties comply with county codes and regulations. Property owners whose properties are not in compliance are required to correct violations.

The Code Enforcement Division enforces portions of the Clay County Code related to non-criminal matters, including:

  • Public nuisances
  • Zoning violations
  • Solid waste disposal violations
  • Junk vehicle ordinances
  • Sign ordinances
  • Land Development Regulations

Please Note: The Code Enforcement Division does not regulate or enforce homeowner association (HOA) deed restrictions, covenants, or private neighborhood rules.

Because Code Enforcement Officers are frequently conducting inspections in the field, please call ahead to schedule an appointment before visiting the office.
