County Road 209 Improvement Project

Clay County is designing and reconstructing County Road 209 from Peters Creek Bridge south to U.S. 17 to improve roadway capacity, safety, drainage, and multimodal access.

Project Overview

  • Reconstruct CR 209 from a two-lane roadway into a four-lane urban section from CR 315B to US 17 and from CR 315 to south of Peters Creek Bridge
  • Add a median and turn lanes
  • Construct curb and gutter improvements
  • Add sidewalks and bicycle lanes
  • Construction began in Spring 2024
  • Estimated completion: Spring 2027
  • Project budget: $33.3 million
