The Housing Finance Authority of Clay County, also known as the HFA, was created to provide safe, sanitary, and decent housing and to encourage investment by private enterprise.

The authority works to stimulate housing construction and rehabilitation through the use of public funds. When market conditions are favorable, the HFA may obtain funds through the issuance of bonds at relatively low interest rates.

These funds may be made available to Clay County residents with low to moderate incomes at reasonable mortgage-loan interest rates.
