Clay County Commissioners frequently receive official invitations to attend various events throughout the community in their elected capacity. Occasionally, more than one County Commissioner may attend and participate in these events.

Members of a public board or commission are not prohibited under the Florida Sunshine Law from meeting together socially, provided that matters that may come before them in their official capacity are not discussed.

Commissioners who attend these events will not take any official action or vote. These events are not official meetings of the Clay County Board of County Commissioners and, depending on the event, may or may not be open to the public.
