School Impact Fees

Below are the Clay County School Impact Fee amounts based on the type of use:

 Single Family Unit (per dwelling unit)  $7,034.00
 Multi-Family Unit (per dwelling unit)  $3,236.00
 Mobile Home (per dwelling unit)  $5,979.00

The impact fee must be paid prior to the equipment check inspection and prior to authorization for power to be turned on.

Exemptions are allowed ONLY through an action that does not create an additional dwelling unit. If a home is moved from one lot to another, or if a home is destroyed and then replaced. it may be eligible for an exemption. The moving or destruction must have taken place AFTER May 1, 2003. Prior to allowing an exemption, the applicant must provide documentation from the Property Appraiser’s office that there was a residence on the lot after May, 2003. The owner must request the exemption or provide a notarized letter of authorization if someone else is requesting the exemption.
