“A Library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life.”—Henry Ward Beecher

It has been known for generations that a library is more than just a building. A library houses the essence of a community.

The Friends of the Green Cove Springs Public Library organization has spent the last two decades striving to provide the community with a place that not only houses books, but helps its members to strive and to succeed.

For 15 years, the Friends Group has helped thousands of children discover the wonders of reading. They helped adults expand their minds and improve their lives.

When the Green Cove Springs Library has a need, such as new shelving for their always expanding collection, the Friends Group meets that need.

It is only through the support of patrons like you that we can continue to provide these important services for the betterment of our community.
