Touch a Truck: What Moves Clay

Bring the kids and meet the vehicles and organizations moving Clay County forward! 

Touch A Truck: What Moves Clay... comes to the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Quiet time: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Welcome/Opening Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Lights and sounds: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Cost: Totally free! 

About the event:

Hosted by the Clay County Board of County Commissioners, Touch a Truck is a free, family-friendly event that brings together the vehicles, people, and programs that keep Clay County moving.

From fire trucks and police cruisers to construction equipment and heavy machinery, this is a hands-on opportunity for kids (and adults!) to explore the powerful machines they see every day—up close!

 What to Expect:

  • Dozens of county and public safety vehicles on display

  • Food trucks and indoor/outdoor activities

  • Free giveaways

  • Interactive booths from county departments, nonprofits, and community partners

This event is a great way for residents to discover all the services and resources available to them—right here in Clay County.
