Clay County Regional Sports Complex

The Clay County Regional Sports Complex is a premier 250-acre athletic facility located adjacent to Belmore State Forest. As the first regional sports complex of its kind in Clay County, it features eight multipurpose athletic fields designed to support youth and adult sports while attracting local, regional, and statewide tournaments.

The complex accommodates a variety of field sports, including soccer, lacrosse, flag football, field hockey, spikeball, and ultimate frisbee. Weekend field use is reserved for scheduled tournaments. Local athletic organizations may reserve fields for practices and events Monday through Thursday by contacting Clay County Parks and Recreation.

Residents are welcome to enjoy the walking trail through the pedestrian entrance located to the right of the main gate. The walking trail, select athletic fields, and pedestrian access are open:

• Monday through Friday: 3:00 p.m. until dusk
• Saturday and Sunday: Dawn until dusk

Construction of the Regional Sports Complex is occurring in multiple phases. The project received $3 million in legislative matching funds and an additional $2.5 million in legislative appropriations in 2023. County leaders officially broke ground on March 28, 2023.
