Clay County Regional Sports Complex

Clay County Regional Park field

The Clay County Regional Sports Complex sits on 250 acres of land near Belmore State Forest. It is the first of its kind in Clay County and has eight multipurpose fields that will promote sports for both youth and adults, while also bringing tournaments to the area.

Multiple rectangular sports, including soccer, lacrosse, flag football, field hockey, spike ball, and ultimate frisbee, can be played on the fields. Weekend field usage is for scheduled tournaments only, local athletic groups can utilize the spaces Monday-Thursday by reserving the fields with Parks and Recreation.

Residents have access to the walking trail via a pedestrian access point to the right of the entrance gate. The trail, select fields, and access point are open Monday-Friday 3:00pm to dusk, and weekends dawn to dusk.

The development of the sports complex is taking place in phases. The County received $3 million in legislative matching funds and an additional $2.5 million in legislative appropriations in 2023. County leaders broke ground on March 28, 2023.
