Camp Chowenwaw Park offers a variety of overnight accommodations, camping opportunities, day-use facilities, and seasonal recreational amenities. Whether you're planning a family getaway, group retreat, special event, or day trip, you'll find comfortable facilities surrounded by the natural beauty of Black Creek.

Cabins and Campsites

Camp Chowenwaw offers several cabin clusters and campgrounds designed for families, youth groups, and organized events.

  • Cabins accommodate between 2 and 4 guests.
  • Climate-controlled cabins with air conditioning and heat.
  • Shared bathhouses.
  • Dining halls equipped with refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves.
  • Tent camping is available at Hickory Flats with eight campsites accommodating up to six people each.
  • Shared kitchen and restroom facilities are available for campers.

Day-Use Buildings

Reserve one of Camp Chowenwaw's day-use buildings for meetings, celebrations, reunions, or small group events.

  • Indoor seating for up to 30 guests.
  • Heating and air conditioning.
  • Kitchen with refrigerator, stove, and microwave.
  • Restrooms and electricity.
  • Outdoor park areas remain open to the public during rentals.

Seasonal Pool

The swimming pool is open seasonally from May through September.

A separate day-use fee is required for pool admission. Swimming is not permitted in Otter Springs or Black Creek.

Park Rules

  • Park Hours: 8:00 a.m. until sunset.
  • Day Visitors: Must leave before sunset.
  • Check-in: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Check-out: By 11:00 a.m.
  • Quiet Hours: 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • Cabins and campsites have occupancy and vehicle limits.

Deposits and Cancellations

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required when reserving an entire cabin cluster or day-use building.
  • Written cancellations received at least 30 days before your reservation may qualify for a refund, less the required non-refundable deposit.
