One-on-One Tech Help

Are you experiencing a technology issue, need a refresher on using our library apps, or need help navigating the library’s e-resources?

Clay County Library Programming Team provides tech help for our services, including essential technical guidance for various digital devices and software. Windows PC, Apple, and Chromebook platforms are welcome.

Set up a 30-minute, one-on-one appointment with someone on our team, and we can walk you through using your technology, software, or e-resources.

Some topics we cover include:

  • Download library eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines to your tablet, smartphone, or laptop.
  • Navigating databases and other library resources.
  • Setting up and using social media.
  • Specific questions related to using a computer, laptop, smartphone, smartwatch, or tablet.

Guidelines:

  • Tech help is designed to offer basic guidance. They cannot assist with specific projects or provide job training.
  • If you cannot attend your appointment, please cancel your time slot so our staff may assist other patrons.
  • Please arrive with a clear goal of what you want to learn.
  • Please arrive with all the credentials, such as email logins, to access your device or accounts.
  • Be sure to bring in any device you need help with and any power cords and accessories.
  • You may only book one appointment at a time.
  • Library staff members cannot troubleshoot hardware and software problems or repair devices.
  • The library is not liable for any damage to customer equipment that may occur during a help session.
