Friends of the Fleming Island Library

The Friends of the Fleming Island Library support the library through fundraising, volunteer service, community partnerships, book donations, and ongoing support for library programs and special projects.

Meetings

The Friends of the Fleming Island Library Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Fleming Island Library Meeting Room.

If the library is closed for a holiday on the scheduled meeting date, the meeting will be held the following Tuesday. Current Friends members and members of the public are welcome to attend.

The annual meeting is held in September in the Fleming Island Library Meeting Room.

How We Support the Library

  • Raise awareness about the library and its programs.
  • Collect book donations for the year-round book sale.
  • Sell totes, flash drives, and other items to help fund library programs.
  • Volunteer at library-hosted events.
  • Create partnerships with local businesses and community members.

Where Membership Funds Go

  • Honorariums for visiting musical and cultural programs.
  • Children’s programs, performers, and supplies.
  • Projects that help beautify and improve the library.

Donate Books

Have new or gently used books you no longer need? Donated books may be added to the library collection or sold by the Friends of the Library.

Funds from the ongoing book sale help purchase new books, DVDs, CDs, and other materials for the library.
