Used Oil Recycling
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), millions of gallons of used motor oil are improperly disposed of each year. Recycling used motor oil helps protect Florida's waterways, wildlife, and natural resources.
You can help by following these simple steps:
- Drain used motor oil into a clean, leak-proof container, such as an empty milk jug.
- Do not mix used oil with other liquids or materials. Mixing contaminants makes recycling more difficult and may create a safety hazard.
- Residents may bring up to 5 gallons of used motor oil per visit to the Rosemary Hill SWMF or any Clay County Environmental Convenience Center (ECC).
