How long will this project take?
Phase 1 is complete. The Office of Broadband awarded Comcast a grant to continue the county's broadband project into Phase 2, which includes additional areas of Keystone Heights, Clay Hill, Middleburg, McRae, and Virginia Village.
Comcast has also applied for another Office of Broadband grant to expand service even further. We will continue to update this page and our community as the project progresses.
If I want internet, what do I do?
When broadband service becomes available in your area, you can contact Comcast to sign up for internet service based on your household or business needs.
Eligible households may also qualify for discounted internet service through Comcast's Internet Essentials program.
What is the Broadband Infrastructure Project?
The Clay County Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with Comcast Cable Communications, LLC to expand broadband service into underserved areas of Clay County.
Comcast will own, operate, and maintain the broadband network.
Who is the internet provider?
Comcast is the internet service provider for this project. The company currently serves many areas of Clay County and is expanding its network into designated underserved areas through a phased approach.
What internet speeds will be available?
Internet speeds and service plans are determined by Comcast. Please contact Comcast for the most current information about available speeds and packages.
Which areas are getting internet?
Phase 1 โ Completed
Broadband service has been expanded to portions of Clay Hill and Keystone Heights.
Phase 2 โ Grant Awarded
The Office of Broadband awarded Comcast a grant to expand service to additional areas of Keystone Heights, Clay Hill, Middleburg, McRae, and Virginia Village.
Phase 3 โ Grant Applied
Comcast has applied for another Office of Broadband grant to expand service to areas of Penney Farms, Virginia Village, Keystone Heights, Kingsley Lake, and portions of State Road 16, State Road 315, and State Road 17.
