Clay Community Transportation (CCT)

Clay Community Transportation (CCT), operated through the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) provides an easy, affordable, and flexible way to travel throughout Clay County. Riders can board a CCT shuttle at designated stops across the county to reach work, appointments, shopping, and other destinations.

Need a Ride Away From a Bus Stop?

CCT's Flex Route Service provides pickups (route deviations), as scheduling permits, for locations up to ¾ mile from a designated Flex Route.

To schedule a pickup, call (904) 284-5977 and speak with a reservationist.

When available, a CCT shuttle will pick you up at your location and transport you to any stop along the Red, Blue, Green, or Magenta routes.

Clay County Transit Study

As Clay County continues to grow, the County partnered with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) to update the 2017 Clay County Transit Study. The updated study evaluates current transportation needs and identifies opportunities to improve mobility throughout the community.

Study Objectives

  • Update the transit plan to reflect changing community needs.
  • Gather public input and community feedback.
  • Develop a countywide vision for future transit service.
  • Complete a Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA).
  • Create a recommended transit service framework.
  • Develop short- and mid-range implementation recommendations.

The planning process included six public meetings, online surveys, onboard surveys, community event surveys, stakeholder meetings, telephone surveys, and meetings with nonprofit organizations. Community feedback helped identify priorities and future transportation needs throughout Clay County.
