Clay Community Transportation

Clay Community Transportation through the Jacksonville Transportation Authority provides an easy, affordable — and flexible — way to get around the county. Like most other bus services, you can pick up a CCT shuttle from several stops throughout Clay County to get where you need to go.

CCT services route through Fleming Island, Gainesville, Green Cove Springs, Keystone Heights, Middleburg, Orange Park, and Penney Farms.

Need a lift, but you're not located near a stop? That's where the CCT  flex service can help.  Flex service allows for passenger pick-ups (route deviations)  as time is available for locations as far as 3/4 of a mile off the Flex Route.

To get started with a Flex Route, call and speak with a reservationist at 904-284-5977 about scheduling a convenient pickup from your location.

When the driver can accommodate a request, a CCT shuttle will pick you up from your location and drop you off at any stops along the Red, Blue, Magenta, or Green Lines.

Do you have questions?

Please call JTA Customer Service at 904-630-3100 for any questions regarding the Express Select Service 904-630-3100. That line is available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.

Transportation study

With the recent growth in the county, Clay County, in coordination with the JTA, identified the need to update a 2017 Clay County Transit Study to meet the needs stemming from the rapid growth in the county and to ensure that the transit system is appropriately meeting mobility needs of the community.

The update to the Clay County Transit Study was focused on the following elements:

  • Updating the plan to address the changing conditions within the county and meet the transit needs of the community
  • Incorporate community input and feedback as a critical element of the plan development
  • Develop an overall system‐wide vision for the transit service
  • Complete a Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA)
  • Develop a recommended service framework
  • Develop short and mid‐range recommendations and an action plan for implementation

The planning process incorporated extensive public outreach, including six public meetings, an online survey, an on‐board survey, in‐person surveys conducted at three community events, stakeholder meetings, telephone surveys, and meetings with nonprofit agencies in the community.

The feedback from these outreach efforts provided significant insights into the community's desires related to transit service.
