Application Process
Application Process
- Create a Workday account or log in to your account if you have previously signed up.
- Complete all information on the employment application. An attached resume is not a substitute for a fully completed application; incomplete applications will not be forwarded to the hiring manager.
- If you have questions about your application, and it has been at least three weeks since the position closed, contact the Personnel Department at 904-529-4719, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (EDT).
- Online applications are stored on a secure site, and only authorized employees and hiring authorities can access information submitted.
Once submitted, your application becomes a public record in accordance with the Florida Public Records Law, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and can be requested or reviewed at any time.

Clay County Board of County Commissioners is a Drug-Free Workplace. Applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment will be required to submit to drug screening.

Relevant criminal background checks are conducted on all new hires.
Veterans' Preference
Veterans' preference is given according to Florida law. Submit your DD214 form and service-connected disability documentation (if applicable) for each position before the closing date for preference consideration.
