Need to give up your pet?

We know giving up a pet is a hard decision. Surrendering your animal to the shelter should be a last resort. Please try these options first:

Before you surrender your pet

  • Ask friends or family if they can adopt your pet.
  • Use free rehoming websites to find your pet a new home.
  • Talk to your vet or look online for help with behavior problems.
  • Ask us about pet food assistance if you're having trouble affording food.
