Programs and Services at Clay County Animal Services

Clay County Animal Services offers many programs to help animals and the people who love them.

Lost and Found

If your pet is missing, we can help you find them. If you find a lost pet, bring them to us so we can help them get home.

Rabies and Microchip Clinic

We offer low-cost rabies vaccinations and microchips to help keep pets safe. These clinics take place on the first Tuesday of every month from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Surrendering and Rehoming

If you cannot keep your pet, we can help you find a new home. We also offer advice and resources that may help you keep your pet if possible.

Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR)

We help care for community cats by trapping them, getting them spayed or neutered and vaccinated, and returning them to their area.

Enforcement

Our officers work to make sure animals are treated humanely and local animal laws are followed. They help with situations involving lost pets, animal bites, and animals in danger.

Rescues

We work with rescue groups to help animals find loving homes.

Satellite Adoption Centers

We have adoption centers in different locations to help more animals find homes.

Short-Term Fostering

You can help by caring for an animal for a short time. This gives them a break from the shelter and helps prepare them for a new home.

Hobby Breeders

We provide information and guidelines for people who breed pets as a hobby.

Disaster Preparedness

We help you plan how to keep your pets safe during emergencies such as storms.
