Thank you for helping foster kittens. You are giving them a safe place to grow until they find their forever homes.
First 24 Hours With Your Kitten
Follow these steps to help your kitten feel safe and comfortable:
- Create a quiet space: Set up a small, safe area with a bed, food, water, and a litter box.
- Keep them warm: Young kittens need warmth. Use blankets and keep them away from drafts.
- Offer food and water: Follow feeding instructions based on age. Make sure fresh water is always available.
- Limit handling at first: Let the kitten adjust. Keep interactions calm and gentle.
- Watch for signs of illness: Check for sneezing, not eating, or unusual behavior.
- Contact us if needed: Call (904) 529-4733 if you have concerns.
