Be a foster hero!
Be a foster hero with Clay County Animal Services
Do you love animals and want to help? Become a foster parent! Fostering means taking care of animals in your home until they find their forever families. This helps animals grow strong, stay healthy, and feel loved.
๐พ About us
-
We are Clay County Animal Services, a shelter that takes in all kinds of animals.
-
Our goal is to find homes for as many animals as possible.
-
We are open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
๐ฑ Cat foster programs
We have different programs to help cats:
-
Underage kittens: Tiny kittens who need special care.
-
Medical: Cats that are sick or hurt and need extra help.
-
Fospice: Older cats who need a cozy place to stay.
Kittens need to visit the shelter every two weeks for check-ups. Foster parents can choose to adopt their kittens or help find them new homes.
๐ถ Dog foster programs
We also have programs for dogs:
-
Free Agent: Take a dog home and help them get adopted.
-
Bow Wow: Spend a day or night with a dog for fun.
-
Medical/Fospice: Care for dogs that are sick, hurt, or older.
Foster periods can be up to 3 months. Foster parents are encouraged to help find homes for their dogs.
