Animal Services Fees

The following fees apply to services provided by Clay County Animal Services. These fees help support the care of animals in our shelter and the services we provide to the community. Fees are subject to change without notice.

Adoption Fees

Every adopted pet receives important veterinary services before going to its new home.

• Dogs (6 months and older): $20
• Puppies (under 6 months): $100
• Cats (6 months and older): $20
• Kittens (under 6 months): $25

Adoption fees include:

• Spay or neuter surgery
• Microchip for permanent identification
• Rabies vaccination
• Age-appropriate vaccinations

Vaccination and Microchip Fees

• Rabies vaccination: $10
• Microchip: $15

Reclaim Fees

If your pet has been brought to the shelter, reclaim fees may apply. Please call Clay County Animal Services for current reclaim fee information and instructions on reclaiming your pet.

Other Fees

• Owner surrender: $50
