The Clay County Board of County Commissioners is encouraging students to apply for its Post-Secondary Education Scholarship, sponsored by Waste Management. The scholarship is available to Clay County high school seniors who are pursuing higher education at two- or four-year colleges or technical schools.
The application deadline is March 31, 2026. Eligibility Requirements
- The student must be a high school senior and a Clay County resident.
- The student must be accepted into the post-secondary program for which they are seeking funding.
Award Criteria
- Applicants can either fill out the scholarship application form online or download the form to print and fill it out.
- Completed applications must be emailed to claygrants@claycountygov.com or delivered to the Clay County Grants Department, 420 College Drive, Suite 107, Middleburg, FL, by the close of business on March 31, 2026.

Students must complete a scholarship application and submit:
- A short personal essay (250โ500 words)
- A copy of their current school transcript
- One letter of recommendation
- School transcripts, letters of recommendation, and participation in community service and extracurricular activities may all be considered during the scholarship selection process.
- Scholarships will cover or partially cover tuition costs only.
