Serving our community through Clay Initiatives
Clay County has been working with the Urban Land Institute to support our ongoing community initiatives on the Blanding Corridor, Wells Road, High Ridge Estates, and College Drive. ULI is conducting an exercise to coordinate project recommendations from the four completed Technical Assistance Panels in these areas to help focus ongoing and new efforts. Current efforts include the development of a visioning charrette for College Drive that supports place-making, active/passive recreational opportunities, branding, signage, and much more. The Gateway to Clay Initiative (Wells Road) committee is working on a stakeholder management plan, creating a merchant’s association, and increasing the safety and beautification of the area. High Ridge Estates' efforts include applying for a grant to help with infrastructure improvements to help build a strong collaborative community bond. You can view the full ULI TAPS project checklist attached to this agenda item and watch the discussion at the 3:14:44-minute mark.
