GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The first phase of the new garbage can deliveries will begin on Monday, July 29. The entire delivery process for the new garbage cans will take about seven to eight weeks.
This will prepare you for a new company, FCC Environmental, to take over the county's curbside collection services on October 1.

You can review a list of FAQs below:
How long will it take for you to get a new garbage can?
Crews will deliver all cans by September 23rd. Crews will leave the new can in front of your home.
You should not use the new garbage cans until October 1, because the company currently handling curbside collection services will not collect your garbage if you place it in FCC Environmental's new can.

Once October 1 rolls around and you start using your new can, you can still use the old cans for yard waste. You can also bring the old can to any of our Environmental Convenience Centers or the Rosemary Hill Facilityand crews will dispose of it during normal business hours.

What size are these cans?
The can is a 95-gallon can, and there is a 65-gallon can available. If you want to request a different can, you can contact FCC after November 1 at 904-490-9996.
How will you know your pickup day?
FCC Environmental will be sharing this information online for you to access. Keep in mind, crews will collect garbage and yard waste on the same day.

What is the cost of these services?
The Collection Assessment will be $262/year and is a non-ad valorem assessment billed on your annual tax bill.
