LEON COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Association of Counties unveiled the county photos featured in their 2023 – 2024 annual calendar: Skylines of the Sunshine State. A photo from a Clay County is featured in the December 2024 section.

 “We decided to showcase the skylines of Florida counties because it highlights the beauty and diversity from the most rural to the most urban areas,” shares Bill Truex, FAC President and Charlotte County Commissioner. “Among the 580 submissions, ranging from downtown cityscapes to historical landmarks, the selection of the 15 counties featured in this publication was not easy, but highlights the incredible variety Florida's counties have to offer."

Dennis T. Hoban's winning shot was described as an early morning view of a SpaceX launch over the St. Johns River.

Every year FAC opens a photo contest to all of Florida’s 67 counties to be one of the fifteen featured in their annual calendar. Over 580 photos were submitted from 52 Florida counties. The winners were announced during FAC’s Legislative Conference in Hillsborough County, Fla.

The chosen counties include:

• January 2024: Citrus County taken by Ken Rohling

• February 2024: Marion County taken by Mark Anderson

• March 2024: Franklin County taken by Jeff Talbert

• April 2024: Calhoun County taken by Kade Williams

• May 2024: Putnam County taken by Debbie Gross

• June 2024: Miami-Dade County taken by Ryan Holloway

• July 2024: Escambia County taken by Krista Rudder

• August 2024: Hillsborough County taken by Mark Flynn

• September 2024: Baker County taken by Tina Carver

• October 2024: Glades County taken by Kevin Ziegler

• November 2024: Flagler County taken by Lori Vetter Bowers

• December 2024: Clay County taken by Dennis T. Hoban
