New roadway groundbreaking event

Construction will focus on a new 3.3-mile roadway connecting the First Coast Expressway to CR-315

Green Cove Springs, Fla. - On Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 9 a.m., commissioners, county leadership, and local lawmakers will join representatives from the construction management group WGI and project engineers as they officially break ground on a new roadway, Cathedral Oak Parkway.

The groundbreaking event will take place at the corner of County Road 315 and Feedmill Road.

This new 3.3-mile, two-lane roadway will connect drivers to the First Coast Expressway.

Work is anticipated to be completed in early 2025.

This project falls under the Bonded Transportation Program, which focuses on road enhancement projects in Middleburg, Green Cove Springs, and Lake Asbury.
