COMPLETED: Russell Road guardrail work

Guardrail damage could pose a safety hazard to drivers

Post Date:07/07/2023 11:05 PM

UPDATE: As of Friday, July 14th, the work on this project is now complete.

PREVIOUS: scheduled to start Wednesday, July 12th.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Work to fix a guardrail that is a safety concern will start July 10th on Russell Road. The work is expected to take seven to ten days. Crews are going to do as much work as possible without closing the lanes, but there will be times when it is necessary for intermittent lane closures. Again, crews are going to keep those as brief and minimal as possible.

We know this is right on the heels of the construction on Sandridge, and we’ve put this off as long as possible because of it, but we don’t want it to cause a dangerous situation for drivers. Because crews will be working to keep lanes open, they’ll be doing much of the project close to the road.

Please, slow down, be patient, and keep in mind speeding fines are doubled when workers are present. You can stay tuned to updates on our social media platforms and in our Newsroom on our website.
