Clay County government offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Offices will reopen and resume regular business hours on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility will operate during normal hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and curbside collection of garbage and recycling will continue as scheduled.  

Clay County Animal Services will be closed to the public on Tuesday, July 4, and will reopen on Wednesday, July 5, at 11 a.m.

All Clay County public library branches will be closed on Tuesday, July 4. No materials will be due on that day. Libraries will reopen on Wednesday, July 5, at 10:00 a.m.

Independence Day in the United States is the annual celebration of nationhood. It commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
