The upcoming state budget is expected to affect Clay County significantly.
New laws from the recent legislative session will impact local governments. The state budget has over $1 billion for tax cuts, including back-to-school and disaster preparedness exemptions. Clay County's requests for funding for a sports complex, substance abuse center, and fire stations are expected to be granted. We want your input on how to utilize federal funds to improve our community. You can find the Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan on our website and in the libraries. Attend the public meetings in June to share your thoughts on infrastructure and housing improvements.
