Rendering of Phase 1
Here are some facts about the park:
It is located on 250 acres near the intersection of State Roads 16 and 21 by Belmore State Forest.
It will be the first of its kind in Clay County, with eight multi-purpose fields. It will also include ponds, sidewalks, walking trails, shade sails, a parking lot, restrooms, and a monument sign.
It will be an asset in bringing our county's families and our young people outdoors and onto the field.
It will be a tourism draw, marketable to regional tournaments.
Completion of Phase 1 is estimated to cost $7.2 million, which includes $3 million in legislative matching funds.
Completion of Phase 1 is expected this November, and we anticipate our residents being able to use it in early 2024.
