Clay County Emergency Operations Center Announces CareerSource Re-Employment Center

Clay County Emergency Management, in Unified Command with the Florida Department of Health in Clay County, the Board of County Commissioners and Clay County Manager, announces that the CareerSource Re-Employment Center will be opening Monday, May 11 by appointment to assist residents with re-employment activities. 

Clay County residents looking for a job can meet with CareerSource Northeast Florida representatives Monday through Friday with appointments starting at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clay County Emergency Operations Center at the Clay County Fairgrounds.

“We know that the economic crisis the pandemic is real and very serious,” said John Ward, Clay County Director of Emergency Management. “CareerSource knows how to navigate the state’s re-employment center and can help those who may have missed a step, don’t have access to the internet or a computer or those experiencing frustrations with the site.  We also know that some are now considering changing the industry in which they work and our partners at CareerSource can help our residents do that.”

1. How do I make an appointment at the CareerSource Re-Employment Center?

To schedule a resource room appointment at the Clay County Emergency Operations Center at the Clay County Fairgrounds, visit and click the “Make An Appointment” button.  You’ll then be able to select an appointment time and enter your contact information.

2. What services will be provided at the Re-Employment Center?

We will have staff available to assist job seekers registering in Employ Florida, our statewide online tool designed to help connect workers to jobs. 

3. What do I need to bring to my appointment?  

Please know or bring the following information to assist you in completing or updating your Employ Florida Registration:

  • Your valid social security number
  • Your valid email address
  • Work history to create (or update) a resumé through the Resumé Builder and assist you with completing the Background Wizard.
  • Wear a face mask
