Recreation and Culture
Clay County’s riverfront, numerous lakes and pine-forested interior provide a host of nature-based recreational activities. The county is home to six professional golf courses; state, community and neighborhood parks; numerous sports playing fields; walking trails; marinas; public boat ramps and much more. The county’s library system is comprised of five libraries; visual and performing arts can be viewed at the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts on the grounds of St. Johns River State College; special events are held every month of the year through-out the county and both historic and military museums share the rich history of our county.
