Clay County Mosquito Control Information

Due to a significant increase the area’s mosquito population due to Tropical Storms Beryl and Debby, Clay County has been forced to increase its mosquito control efforts. In doing so, the county has enlisted additional state resources to assist with ground and aerial spraying in order to supplement existing spraying efforts done by the county. The county will continue to step up its vector control efforts until mosquito populations demonstrate an acceptable reduction.

It is important to understand that the practice of mosquito spraying is not new.  The county actively ground sprays for mosquitoes every year from mid April through mid November.  The county also regularly larvicides standing ditches, drain boxes, outfall areas and retention ponds.

Should you have any questions regarding spraying efforts, please call the Clay County Mosquito Control Division at 904-284-6335 or 269-6335 and place a service request.  In the event that you are asked to leave a message, please include your question in your message and you will receive a call back within 24hours with an answer.
