Meeting for 5/20/2013: The meeting for May 20th, 2013 has been delayed until 3:30pm
Memorial Day Waste and Recyclables Pick-Up Schedule: On Monday, May 27, 2013 Memorial Day, Advanced Disposal Services will collect wastes and recyclables as usual. Please remember to place materials at the curb before 6:00 am. Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility will open at the regularly scheduled time (7:30 AM) and will close at 5:30 PM.
Fill the Boot for Muscular Dystrophy!: The Clay County Fire and Rescue will once again hit the streets and fill their boots to benefit local families affected by Muscular Dystrophy. May is ALS Awareness Month (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and this boot drive is dedicated to those affected by this horrific disease. Clay County Firefighters will be out at the following intersections over Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 through May 26th): Blanding and Wells, SR100 & SR21, SR21 & SR218, and SR17 & SR220

Clay County Skywarn Class: On June 14, 2013, from 6:30 to 8:30pm the Jax National Weather Service will be teaching a Skywarn class at the Clay County Emergency Operations Center, located at 2519 SR16 West. This event is open to the public. Skywarn introduces what to look for during severe weather events. The class gives a BASIC understanding of weather and its impacts to our area. Clay County Has a New Veteran Service Officer: Rose Claridydavis is our new County Veterans Service Officer. The VSO office has recently relocated with easy access to the second floor of the Clay County Administrative Building at 477 Houston, Street. Green Cove Springs, Fl 32043. US Small Business Administration (SBA) Announcement: As a result of the freezes and frosts, which occurred February 17th 2013 – March 4, 2013, Clay County was among the contiguous counties designated by the State of Florida as having suffered Economic Injury and thus eligible for Economic Injury Disaster Loans for small businesses and agricultural cooperatives. 2012 Environmental Services Holiday Season Hours and Days of Operation: Green Cove Springs, Fla., December 3, 2012 – Clay County Department of Environmental Services announces the 2012 holiday season hours and days of operation.
Thanksgiving Solid Waste Collection Schedule: Residents whose regular pickup is on Thursday will receive pickup service the Friday after Thanksgiving. Residents whose regular pickup is on Friday will receive pickup service the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility as well as the Environmental Convenience Centers will be closed Thanksgiving day.

Keystone Heights Community Development Block Grant Housing Rehabiliation: The City of Keystone Heights is seeking applicants to participate in a Community Development Block Grant Housing Rehabilitation program to assist homeowners with repairs. This program is designed to perform general code related repairs and improvements for very low and low and moderate-income homeowners. Items eligible for repair include roofs, heating systems, plumbing, electrical and other code related housing systems at no cost to the homeowner.
