June

9 - 10 – Kids Fest “The Funnest Event in Town,” has been voted Best Kids Entertainment two years in a row! Now in its fourth year, this event will be packed with exciting games and activities, fascinating displays, interactive shows, live music, great food and shopping! This event is designed with children 12 and younger in mind. Expect more free and low-cost activities than ever before! Admission is free!

10 – KidX Desserts with Dad, Orange Park Mall, 1:00 – 3:00 pm – Prepare for Father’s Day and show your dad some appreciation with some special treats.

10 – Dream Drive Exotics – Orange Park Mall, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm – Have you ever wanted to drive a Lamborghini, Ferrari or McLaren? Now is your chance! The driving experience comes to the Orange Park Mall! You can rent exotic cars and drive them through an autocross course made with cones in the parking lot. We charge by the lap, so some people will have 3 laps, and some may have 7 laps.

16 – Reel Fun Night, Orange Park Town Hall, 6:00 - 9:00 pm - Bring a blanket or a chair, and join us at Town Hall Park for a movie and fun. All movies are family friendly. 

17 – Track Attack Weekend Open Track – The FIRM – Open Track Days at The FIRM is a low cost way to test the setup of your car and improve your driving skills. 

17 – Historic Girl Scout Museum – Camp Chowenwaw, 9:00 -11:00 am – The Museum includes a synopsis of the founder of the Girl Scouts, Juliette Low, the history of Girl Scouting in Northeast Florida and the history of the park when it was a Girl Scout Camp from 1933 to 2005. Special Tours are available other dates and times by appointment.

17 – Third Saturday - 3rd Saturday Market in the Park is an opportunity to shop and meet local business owners, vendors and craftspeople while enjoying our beautiful, historic small town and park on the St John’s River.  Shop local, relax, and enjoy your Saturdays again! Every third Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Spring Park located at the corner of Walnut Street and Magnolia Avenue in Green Cove Springs. Free to the public.

17 – Northeast Florida Dressage Association – Clay County Fairgrounds - Equestrian Facilities

18 - Farmer’s & Art Market, Orange Park Town Hall, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Voted Best Farmer’s Market in Northeast Florida! With over 100 vendors selling fresh, local produce and homemade crafts, live music and great food, it’s sure to be fun for the entire family! Our season runs September – June. Join us on the first Sunday of each month.

20 – Mamma Mia, Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts and Conference Center -   A mother. A daughter. Three possible dads. And a trip down the aisle you’ll never forget! Over 50 million people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make Mamma Mia! The ultimate feel-good show! 

24 – Honor Guards Day Parade – Orange Park Mall, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – Recognizing all Honor Guards nationwide.

24 - Freedom Festival with Food Truck Wars, Orange Park Mall- JCPenney Parking Lot, 10:00 am – 10:00 pm –  Bring the whole family to our 7th annual Freedom Festival and enjoy a day of festivities to honor our military and first responders.  There will be plenty of fun for everyone - from bounce houses, rock wall and games for the young ones, to food truck wars and a car show for the young at heart.  Partake in the food truck wars as 40 gourmet food trucks compete to win 5 different awards. Country Star David Lee Murphy will headline the Freedom Festival concert with fireworks concluding the evening.

24 – Cliff Avril 5th Annual Youth Football Camp – Clay High School – 8:00 am – 2:00 pm - Cliff Avril returns to Clay High School to host his free football camp that is open to youth aged 8-18. Space is limited. The first 300 children will receive a t-shirt and sports goody bag.

25 – Cliff Avril Family Foundation Family Fun Day – Paul C. Armstrong Park, 2445 CR 220, Orange Park, FL  32065 – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm - The day is entirely FREE to the community and consists of food, sports tournaments, face painting, bounce houses, music and much more! Cliff will be present to take photos and sign autographs with fans.

 

July

1 – Our Country Day Street Dance – Beside Advance Auto Parts from 6:00 – 11:00 pm – The Keystone Street Dance will feature food, beer, live music and children’s activities.

4 - Our Country Day, Keystone Heights – For more than 40 years, the City of Keystone Heights has invited people to their two-day festivities which include a 5k run, parade, arts & craft vendors, food vendors and an evening fireworks display at Keystone Beach at 9:30 pm. 

4 - Middleburg Independence Day Parade, Middleburg, 9:00 am – This annual event, sponsored by the Middleburg Civic Association, features an array of marching units, vehicles, floats and horse troops. This year’s parade route begins at Omega Park on County Road 218 and will head east towards Blanding Blvd. where it will make a U-turn near the CVS/Winn-Dixie then proceed west back to Omega Park.

4 - American Pride 4th of July, Join the Town of Orange Park and Moosehaven on the 4th as we celebrate America with the American Pride Fourth of July event.  The event includes vendors, crafts, food and a spectacular fireworks display over the St. Johns River. Gates open at 2:00 pm with fireworks starting at 9:20 pm.

8 – Kiwita Nature Center Open House, Camp Chowenwaw, 9:30 am – 3:00 pm – Explore nature exhibits and speak with park naturalists.

9 – Penney Farms 90th Anniversary Celebration: Old-Fashioned Farm Day, Kohler park and Town streets, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm - Experience what Penney Farms used to be like and discover the wonderful history of our town in the years of 1920 - 1940.  Explore displays of old farm equipment along one of our streets, exhibits of old-time crafts and demonstrations of former skills such as black-smith work which are seldom seen today. There will be country music, bands and singing groups, in addition to story-telling, games and contests. Food trucks will be on hand for refreshments.
