About Us:

"It is the mission of this office to preserve, protect, and improve the environment by promoting recycling and proper solid waste handling and management practices in our community."

The Department of Environmental Services provides facilities that accept commercial and residential waste, including recyclables and household hazardous wastes, from sources within the incorporated and unincorporated areas of the County.

Clay County Department of Environmental Services' major efforts have been maintaining closed landfills located throughout the County, operating four Environmental Convenience Centers (ECCs) and the Rosemary Hill Recycling Facility, and overseeing operation of the Class I and C & D Transfer Stations at the Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility (SWMF). The County's solid waste disposal and collection assessments are also managed through this department, as well as the Adopt-A-Mile/Spot Program, Keep Clay Beautiful, and major clean-up events held throughout the year.
