Hurricane Irma Utility Updates
Clay Electric Co-op does not proactively turn off power before a major storm. They will continue to provide service throughout the storm. Any outages will be a result of storm conditions and not intentional on their part. Be prepared to go without power for a week or longer! We know this is a major inconvenience, but Clay Electric will work to get their members' power back on as quickly and safely as possible. They're bringing in as much outside help as they can to speed restoration efforts.
Clay County Utility Authority stated that potable water, water from your faucet, is currently safe to drink. CCUA is currently turning off access to reclaimed water in phases to be completed today. In the event that a boil water notice is necessary, you can find more information at www.ccua.org, alert.claycountygov.com, Clay County Emergency Management Facebook Page and various local media channels.
