The Board of County Commissioners has placed a moratorium on the collection of the road impact fees from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.

Clay Hill Overlay District Design Guidelines
At the request of the Clay Hill Community Association (CHCA), Clay County planning staff, has been working with the neighborhood to develop design guidelines for non-residential (commercial and industrial) properties along CR 218, CR 217 and US 301. The Clay Hill Neighborhood Association will hold a meeting March 15, 2010 at 7 PM at Wilkinson Junior High School to receive community comment. Future public hearings are needed prior to any action.

The Planning and Zoning Division initiates and reviews amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Codes and acts as the lead in the development and adoption of the County's Land Development Regulations. The Planning and Zoning Division also processes and reviews applications for Vested Property Certificates, operates the Concurrency Management System, and develops sector plans and other special studies. The Planning and Zoning Division performs transportation planning activities and represents the County on the Technical Coordinating Committee and Bicycle/Pedestrian Committee of the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Jacksonville Urbanized Area. The Planning and Zoning Division reviews development proposals as a member of the Development Review Committee, contributes to the staff report for rezoning applications and monitors Developments of Regional Impact within the County. Finally, The Planning and Zoning Division conducts specified plans and studies as directed by the County Manager and County Commissioners.
