Clay County Online Permitting
Clay County now offers limited permitting online.
Unfortunately at this time, we cannot collect payment for permits online. We are diligently working towards online payment, however you can pay via a mailed in check, couriered check, or payment can be provided if you choose to come in person to receive your permit. Permits will be emailed back to the applicant if payment is made through the mail. If payment is mailed in, please state for what project / permit the payment is for.

The Planning and Zoning Division initiates and reviews
amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Codes and acts as the
lead in the development and adoption of the County's Land Development
Regulations. The Planning and Zoning Division also processes and reviews
applications for Vested Property Certificates, operates the Concurrency
Management System, and develops sector plans and other special studies.
The Planning and Zoning Division performs transportation planning
activities and represents the County on the Technical Coordinating
Committee and Bicycle/Pedestrian Committee of the Metropolitan Planning
Organization for the Jacksonville Urbanized Area. The Planning and
Zoning Division reviews development proposals as a member of the
Development Review Committee, contributes to the staff report for
rezoning applications and monitors Developments of Regional Impact
within the County. Finally, The Planning and Zoning Division conducts
specified plans and studies as directed by the County Manager and County
Commissioners.
