Section 125 Plan: Provides health and life insurance benefits on a
non-taxable basis.
Accrual of Annual and Sick Leave: Starts immediately at the rate of 8 hours per
month. Any leave taken prior to completion of "INTRODUCTORY PERIOD" would be
without pay.
Deferred Compensation: An optional benefit provided by Clay County to
assist employees with an additional retirement savings plan. The County
offers two providers to choose from:
Florida Retirement System: Clay County contributes 100% of the cost of the
retirement plan with the Florida
Retirement System. Employees have a
choice between the Pension Plan and the Investment Plan.
Employee Assistance Program: This prepaid professional counseling service is
designed to help solve personal problems that may be creating stress in their
lives or affecting work performance. Employees and/or immediate family members
may use this benefit. Horizon
Health is a private, off-site company
that manages the assistance program.

Direct Deposit: Paychecks can be automatically direct deposited
into a checking or savings account.
Educational Assistance: Clay County will reimburse 100% of pre-approved
tuition costs up to $1200 per fiscal year for non-bargaining employees.
Assistance is also provided to employees represented by the Clay County
Fire/Rescue Professional IAFF Local 3362 and the Retail, Wholesale & Department
Store Union.
