To Reciprocate
Journeymen Licenses From Us To Another County
-
You need to have taken a proctored exam making a
score of 75% or above.
-
You need to have completed an apprenticeship
program registered with the Department of Labor and Employment
Security and demonstrated four (4) years of verifiable practical
experience in applicable trade; or demonstrate six (6)
years verifiable experience in applicable trade.

You must have
not have had a license suspended or revoked within the last five
(5) years).

JOURNEYMAN; RECIPROCITY; STANDARDS EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1997

The county will need to mail us a letter of reciprocity. This
must come through the mail.

Journeymen licenses can be done through the mail. Give the
letter a couple of days to get here. Call to see if we have
received the letter. You will be sent an application to complete
and mail back to the Building Department with the required fee.
When we receive the application, your Certificate for Clay
County will be mailed back to you.
WE WILL NOT
ACCEPT HAND-DELIVERED LETTERS.
WE WILL ACCEPT A FAX; BUT A HARD COPY MUST FOLLOW.
