Clay County Extension Services
Clay County Agricultural Center is home to
unique programs for the citizens of Clay County.
The University of Florida/ Clay County Extension is a cooperative
educational venture. It conducts research-based educational programs in
agriculture, horticulture, family and consumer science and 4-H/youth
development. Educational programs are conducted on-site or around the
county. These programs feature hands-on learning. This national wide
educational network links the expertise and resources of federal (USDA),
state (University of Florida) and local (Board of County Commissioners)
partners.
The Clay Soil and Water Conservation District, compiled of five locally
elected members, provides citizens and agencies with educational and
information about the county's soil and water with a charge of
implementing conservation of these basic components of life. One of the
educational programs is the "Envirothon" program and contest for our
youth.
